Father's Captain's Quarters, expands on a larger collection known as Project Doekinshire. It's a stage set of a pirate-turned-trade ship's captain's Quarters (or bed chambers aboard the ship) in a time of peace after a life of turmoil for the ship's captian and his children. The chambers take inspiration from wooden ship's and their construction,  as well as historical item from ancient periods of time up to the late 1800s. The room consists of a stage floor and two walls, one with a stained-glass window made from acrylic panels. Within this piece there is a number of found furniture pieces with a mixture of found and made objects making up the scene as a whole. These objects are placed to build up an overall interactive story for viewers to dive into and learn about. Taking them into the world in whatever capacity they wish, allowing viewers to step into another world and learn the story of the father who lives in the room.
